Herbal Postpartum Sitz Bath
Give yourself the love and care you deserve—naturally. Embrace your postpartum recovery with the healing power of soothing epsom salts and organic herbs known to promote perineal healing and relieve discomfort. This herbal infusion brings together centuries-old healing traditions in a safe and gentle formula.
I've carefully handcrafted every batch with love and prayers of a nurtured postpartum for every mama who uses it.
Ingredients
Epsom salt, calendula*, chamomile*, rose petals*, yarrow*, comfrey*, lavender*, marshmallow root*, love; *– certified organic
How to use
Add 1 sachet to 2 quarts of boiled water, cover with the lid, and let it steep for 20 minutes. There are several ways to use this healing solution:
- Pour it into a sitz bath or a shallow bath (ensure that it’s very clean to reduce the risk of infection). Soak in a warm bath (the water shouldn’t be hot) for up to 20 minutes 2-3 times a day. You could also add the sachet directly to a bathtub without steeping it in advance
- Spray a thin layer of the healing solution on a postpartum pad and put it in the freezer (better done in advance). Use up to 4 padsicles a day for pain and swelling relief in the first 48 hours post-birth. If the padsicle is too cold when taken out of the freezer, let it sit on the counter for a few minutes
- Mix it with warm water in a peri bottle and use throughout the day
P.S.
This blend is designed not only to promote physical healing but also to create a relaxing experience. I made this Spotify playlist that you could listen to while enjoying the sitz bath. Bonus - it’s 19 minutes long, so you don’t have to worry about tracking the time.
